The start of our study of first Timothy as Paul writes to Timothy as he tired in his continuing ministry after Paul left for Macedonia from Ephesus. Paul urged Timothy to remain in his post in Ephesus and to charge the people there to teach no other doctrine and to stay with the scriptures to avoid disputes other than Godly edification. Paul condemns the legalists not the law itself when one uses it lawfully.
