1st Timothy

The conclusion of not only chapter six of 1st Timothy, but the entirety of Paul's first letter to his "son in the faith" as Paul gives examples of true riches, righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. Paul exhorts Timothy to serve the Creator who gave him life. He urges Timothy to command the rich not to be haughty, or trust anything but the Living God, to let them do good, be ready to give, willing to share, storing up a good foundation that they may lay hold of eternal life. Paul's closing charges his understudy to avoid the profane, and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge.
